BabyLock Terms of Service

BabyLock is an iOS screen time and reflection tool built for parents. It can help you limit access to selected apps, prompt you to pause, and let you complete in-app actions such as journaling, taking a photo, or answering a quick mood check before you regain access to blocked apps. Features may change over time, including streaks, reminders, unlock flows, and subscription offerings.

BabyLock does not require you to create an account to use the core app. BabyLock is privacy-first by design, and your journal entries, photos, mood check-ins, and similar private content stay on your device unless these Terms or our Privacy Policy specifically say otherwise. For details about the limited information that may be processed off-device to operate the service, please review the Privacy Policy.

You must be old enough to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use BabyLock. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

BabyLock is currently designed for iOS and relies on Apple frameworks, device permissions, and system behavior, including Screen Time and notifications. Some features may not work if required permissions are denied, if Screen Time settings change, if your device is offline, or if Apple changes platform capabilities.

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. BabyLock may offer weekly and annual recurring subscriptions, as well as a lifetime one-time purchase, as presented to you in the app or in Apple's App Store. Billing is handled through Apple's App Store and may be supported by third-party purchase tooling such as RevenueCat or Superwall. Pricing, trial availability, billing cycles, renewals, and cancellations are controlled by Apple and the purchase terms shown to you at checkout.

Unless required by law, refunds are handled through Apple, not Caldera LLC. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

BabyLock may let you earn credits, minutes, unlock time, streak benefits, or similar in-app progress by completing reflection activities. These items are part of the app experience only, are non-transferable, may be changed or removed at any time, and have no cash value or redeemable monetary value.

Privacy is a core part of BabyLock. Our data handling practices, including what may stay on your device and what limited information may be processed to operate the service, are described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• use BabyLock for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity;
• attempt to bypass, disable, reverse engineer, or interfere with its blocking or unlock systems;
• upload content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
• use the service in a way that could damage BabyLock, its infrastructure, or other users.

BabyLock is a behavior and wellness product, not a medical device or professional advice service. Journaling prompts, streaks, reminders, or reflection tools are provided for general self-reflection only and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, therapeutic, or parenting advice.

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue any feature of BabyLock at any time. We do not guarantee continuous availability, uninterrupted operation, or that every blocked-app or unlock scenario will work exactly as intended on every device or iOS version.

BabyLock, its software, branding, design, and related materials are owned by Caldera LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for personal use in accordance with these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access to BabyLock if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for us or others, or if we stop offering the service. You may stop using the app at any time. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related terms, will survive.

BabyLock is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will always be secure, error-free, available, effective for habit change, or compatible with every device, operating system version, or third-party dependency.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caldera LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of BabyLock.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to BabyLock will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent consumer protection laws in your home jurisdiction require otherwise.

Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and Caldera LLC consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of BabyLock after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
